Nick designs and synthesizes well-defined supported transition metal oxide and molecular catalysts and develops new titration methods for counting their kinetically-active sites for applications in selective oxidation chemistry with H2O2. These tools are key to developing more sustainable chemical routes for the production of important epoxy monomers and of polyalcohol components to polyurethanes.
